The touchscreen controller (chip inside the touchscreen) tells the OS that it is a HID mouse device rather than a HID touch device, which is a relatively new HID device category. If the Elo-specific driver (XP/Vista/7) is installed, the OS USB-HID driver will give it control of the touchscreen and it does not support gestures or multi-touch.

- Specific problems:
- Click sounds on touch, but no cursor movement
- If a mouse is already installed, run regedit; drill down to HKey_Local_Machine, System, CurrentControlSet, Services, MMStub; change the Start key from 1 to 0; reboot.

- If a mouse is not connected, connect a mouse, reboot and try again (mouse may be removed after touch drivers are installed)
